“On October 5, 2024, Alpha Plumbing Limited was contracted to replace the wax rings around the toilets in both the men's and women's bathrooms at Kodo Hibachi and Sushi. During the job, the on-site technician carelessly broke the men's urinal. Despite this being a clear mishandling on their part, they falsely claimed on the invoice that the urinal had been "defective and leaking," which was simply not true. Rather than owning up to their mistake, they took it upon themselves to replace the urinal, an action well outside the agreed-upon scope of work.

To make matters worse, they unnecessarily called in two additional workers, significantly inflating the labor hours. What was initially estimated to be a 3-hour job ballooned into an 8-hour charge on the final invoice. However, their actual time on-site tells a different story. They arrived at 9:15 AM and finished by 4:05 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break, meaning they only worked around 6 hours, not 8 as claimed.

This company demonstrated extremely dishonest practices, not only by inflating the time and cost but also by refusing to engage in any meaningful discussion when confronted. When asked about the discrepancies in the invoice, they were dismissive and evasive, simply advising us to "file a complaint." The entire experience was shady, and it's clear that Alpha Plumbing Limited cannot be trusted to act with integrity or transparency.”
